The mills which used to spin and weave cotton, wool, paper, jute, wire, linen etc virtually all disappeared from this country by 1975. Luckily the relics have not, they have been rescued and recycled into loads of interesting objects.
These gifts are made from parts of shuttles, bobbins, distaffs and lasts to name but a few which the majority of were made between 1900 and 1955.
