Homes for a Changing Climate looks at and explores traditional and contemporary ways to the challenges of climate change by illustrating many ways in which houses can be designed, built and adapted to cope with these situations. Examples are drawn from across Europe - from the intense heat of Seville to the 100mph winds of the Scottish Western Isles - and considers cutting-edge eco-building projects. Combining inspiring case studies, striking photography and practical advice this is a book of imagination and hope in difficult times.
The majority of the stunning photographs, were taken by the author. As he passionately believes "in all things green" and tries as much as is possible to live "lightly on the land", he travelled to all the countries he photographed by train.
Will Anderson whose previous book Diary of an Eco-Builder (which we also sell) is Senior Researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Energy in Bristol.
The challenge is there for us all, and this inspirational book gives us the imagination and vision to tackle the problems ahead.
