We have pigments in both our own brand La Tienda range, which includes 20 different colours, Earthborn's range which has 15 colours, and Clearwell Cave Pigments in three colours including a unique Purple Ochre. These pigments can be mixed to various tones into any white base, casein or clear glaze where literally thousands of colours can be achieved. We suggest trying test area first to ascertain the desired depth of colour as some colours dry much lighter than when in a wet state.

Always slake pigment first by adding to some water and mixing to a think cream consistency, leave to saturate for a couple of hours before adding to your wet paint base.

La Tienda: These Spanish pigment colours are achieved by washing and toasting mineral and earth pigments to achieve both subtle ochre colours and some more dynamic pinks and purples. Great if you want to achieve that Mediterranean look.

 When using your own pigments, especially in exterior applications, it is important that you test for colour-fastness. Different binders (Paints etc.) can react differently with pigments. While all the pigments are colour-fast in their raw state, this may change when mixed with other mediums. This is especially true when using pigments with Lime-based products (Highly alkaline). The colours below represent the powdered pigments in their 'raw' state, when mixing with white paint only paler versions will be achievable. If you mix too much solid material into a paint the finished surface will be weak and chalky. More vibrant colours can be achieved using the pigments with a clear medium.
