The latest and 'greenest' logmaker is manufactured in the UK from 100% recycled plastic, making it the greenest logmaker on the planet

This is an improved version of the new log maker. With easier to use plunger and clear step by step photographic instructions.

Make your own fuel logs. These can be made with a combination of newspaper, paper junk mail, cardboard, wood chippings, dry leaves, sawdust, twigs etc etc.

Easy to make and ready to burn immediately the logs can be burned on open fires, solid fuel and wood burning stoves. Good as a starter fuel - they should burn for up to an hour depending on the contents of the log.

Here is your simple step-by-step how-to-use guide.

Making the paper log case
1 Remove the inner plunger
2 Lay an open sheet of newspaper on a table close to the edge. For large papers, fold once
3 Place outer tube on to paper with flange overhanging the table and align long edge of paper with the arrows
4 Loosely roll paper around the tube
5 Tuck the loose end of the paper well into the tube
6 Stand tube upright on a firm, flat surface (flange uppermost) and compress the tucked in paper with the plunger

Inserting the Waste
7 Remove plunger and insert a small amount of waste. Replace plunger and compress waste
8 Repeat insertion of waste and compressing until disk level is visible when compressed - first disk for short logs and second disk for long logs

Ejecting the log
9 Whilst gripping the flanged end of the outer tube, slowly push the plunger to eject the paper casing and the contents

Sealing the log
Method 1: Grip open loose end of Log and whilst cupping the other end twist loose end and compress Log contents to seal Log.
Method 2: Stand Log upright and fold the side of the open end inwards (compressing the log contents) then roll up the remaining loose end downwards

Each log measures approximately: 20cm in length, 6cm in diameter.
