The Greenshop Gathering

The Greenshop Gathering is a new community event we’re hosting at The Greenshop in Bisley on Saturday 11 July.

The Greenshop has been part of the local community since 1988 and remains a family-run independent business. Over the years we’ve built relationships with dozens of local growers, makers, artists, food producers and community organisations, and we wanted to create an event that brings them all together in one place.

The idea came from seeing how many fantastic small businesses and community groups operate in Gloucestershire, often without people realising what’s on their doorstep. Rather than a traditional market, we’ve created a relaxed summer gathering where visitors can meet local producers, discover sustainable products, enjoy local food and take part in family-friendly activities.

More than 15 local businesses and organisations will be attending, ranging from artists, potters and willow crafts to local food producers, community agriculture groups, gardeners and sustainability businesses. There will also be activities including eco curling, a family treasure hunt and children’s games.

The event has been organised entirely by our small team at The Greenshop and is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting local independent businesses and encouraging sustainable living. We hope it becomes an annual celebration of everything that’s great about our local community.

As a business that has been serving the area for nearly 40 years, we’re passionate about bringing people together, supporting local enterprise and creating a positive community event that everyone can enjoy.
